Welcome to Empire Montessori Preschool. We are a beautiful, historic building renovated into an infant through preschool center in the heart of downtown San Jose and in Everygreen College of San Jose.

Empire Montessori Preschool offers child care for age 12 months through 6 years old and is open from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Our two preschools are located on about 3900 square feet building and age appropriate playgrounds for each age group. We strongly feel that we offer excellent hands on approach to learning. We welcome children.

Once stated by Dr. Maria Montessori: "From the moment the child enters the classroom, each step in his education is seen as a progressive building block, ultimately forming the whole person, in the emergence from childhood to adult. All focus is on the needs of the child". We understand the importance of a developing child and the need to actively challenge that child in order to nurture his or her growth. Our approach is designed to help children with their task of inner development as they grow from childhood to maturity. Our philosophy is established upon the idea that children naturally develop and think differently from adults. Every child has a different personality and varying intellectual needs and we pride ourselves on meeting each student's needs. Our classrooms provide a quality environment where children are free to respond to their natural tendency to work. The children's innate passion for learning is encouraged by giving them opportunities to engage in spontaneous, purposeful activities under the guidance of a trained adult. Through their work, the children develop concentration and joyful self-discipline.

Empire Montessori Preschool Bilingual-Chinese [炎黄蒙特梭利幼稚园] (Evergreen site) will be open on September 1st.
